The Perfect Day

It all started with a random boy in my history class offering me some cuties:
Then my friend told me I was beautiful.
Next, I went to my work training, ate glorious food, exchanged some hilarious white elephant gifts, and hung out with the best girls ever!
After work training, I walked to my Stats class and everything made sense
(Plus I got a 10 out of 10 on my quiz. Holla!!)
Walking to my final review session, I ran into a great friend and we had a fabulous conversation!
(I just LOVE people)
When that conversation ended, I looked on my phone and I had a missed call from a way cute boy.
That cute boy proceeded to ask me on a date.
(My wish was granted!)
Then I got free pizza and got paid to watch the Forgotten Carols!
It's truly been the perfect day.

My Art Museum Girls

I really should be writing my 10-page paper instead of blogging, but procrastination has won yet again.
Curse you finals week.
What I want to post about today are these ladies:
(From left to right: Kaitlyn, Anna, Kaile, Audrey, Me, and Ashley)
(Please note how tall I am. Thanks.)
That's right. They're my co-workers and some of my best friends!
We talk about our boss and how crazy she is.
We talk about how Ashley is a thief (she used to steal stuff a lot when she was little).
We talk about how awkward we are when we have to greet people.
And how people get way annoyed when we tell them to stop taking pictures of the art.
Ya know, just the usual art museum banter.
Love you girls!

Mackin' Out in the Museum

I work in an art museum and I LOVE it!
It's such a great job. I love looking at art and interpreting it. Whether it be an interpretation like: "my four year old sister can draw that" to "Wow. This piece has such good lighting and is sending me a rad vibe", I just love it!
(My roommate, Naomi, and I touring the museum)
However, there are a couple downsides to working at the museum.
First and foremost, making out.
Now, I've never actually seen anybody making out in the museum, but it could definitely happen.
There are a ton of creepy corners where such saliva-switching grossness could take place.
Mostly, my co-workers have told me about the horror stories of nahstee couples hiding in the corners.
(To all public makers outers out there, you are disgusting.
Thanks for making the world your bedroom.)
But the other day, I was guarding in the museum and a couple came in. They were holding hands (like normal couples) and they seemed super nice.
I didn't think anything about it.
But as they began walking upstairs. The guy put his hand in his girlfriend's back pocket.
I wanted to say: "This is a public place, yo. Keep your hands to yourself."
But being the nice person that I am, I decided against it.
Oh, the things that happen at the museum.

Yesterday At The Museum

I started work yesterday at two-o-clock. I was a little exhausted because I had to run from one end of campus to the other to get to work on time. As I sat at the front desk, catching my breath and being all professional, this HUGE group of students came in.
The group was written down on the schedule and I knew they were coming in, however, what I didn't know was that it was going to be a group of 14-year-old boys and their high testosterone levels.
I was a little worried at first because I thought they were going to be super irresponsible and annoying. I mean--one of them had a giant jug of apple juice in his hand!
Kinda sketchy.
Anywoo, because it was such a large group I had to help guard.
(Interruption: When I mean "guard", I don't mean I have a gun in a holster on my hip. I just keep all my senses open and I keep the art safe.)
So, I had to help guard. I was circling around the group of boys when they decided to stop and look at specific piece of art.
The teacher was talking and carrying on and then I heard the following conversation:
Boy 1: "Are you scared, dawg?"
Boy 2: "Yeah..."
Boy 1: "Do you think there are hamsters under there?"
Boy 2: "Totally likely."
Ha!
What?!
Funniest thing OF my life.
I knew their testosterone would kick in sometime. :)

Today At The Museum

As you might know,
I work at an art museum on campus and I LOVE IT!!!
However,
bizarre things tend to happen.
I wish it was bizarre things like this:
That would make for one heck of a story.
BUT
unfortunately the bizarre things that happen usually involve dogs, typewriters, and confused managers.
Here's the scoop:
A lady brought a dog into the museum and asked if it could come with her while she explored the museum.
I really had no idea what to say to her, so I asked my manager if she would handle the situation.
Even my manager was stumped.
Who knew that a dog would be the one thing that would confuse us both?!
(P.S. We didn't let the dog in)
Also,
there's this cute, old typewriter in the museum, which everyone is free to use and leave their words behind.
Some people type poems.
Some people type how they feel about other people.
It's quite adorable really.
However,
this man sat at that typewriter for three hours. Just typing away.
He was there for so long that one of the museum's customers asked me if he was part of the exhibit.
I laughed on the inside and politely told her no on the outside.
Oh gosh.
I love my job.
