grandmas & ripped jeans don't mix

I picked up the phone at my house in Idaho and my grandma was on the other end:

"Hi Grandma!"
"Well hi, Elisabeth." (Sidenote: I love my grandma. She's a hoot and one of my favorite people.)
"What's up?"
"Is your mom there?"
"Yeah, just one moment!"
"But guess what?"
"What, grandma?"
"I want you to meet this boy who was sheet rocking my garage the other day."

(She's keeping an eye out for me, isn't she?)

"Okay, cool. Yeah, I'd love to meet him. Just give him my number."
"What?! No! You need to meet him in person!"
"Uhhhhh grandma, I promise. Just give him my number, then he can text me. Or tell him to look me up on Facebook."

(Of course my grandma knows all about dating in the 21st century....)

That same day, I came downstairs after getting ready in these:

Awww yes, ripped jeans. You should have seen my grandma's face.

"What are you wearing?!"
"What? I like these jeans. They're cute."
"You look like a convict."
"What?! No! I love them! I'm going to wear them."
"That boy is going to think you don't have any clothes to wear."
"Well grandma...if he doesn't like me for my ripped jeans, then he's not the guy for me."

(This was proceeded by a huff and a puff from my 80 year old grandma.)

Just call me a stinker. I did learn one really important lesson...don't wear ripped jeans around your grandma.

Post Sunday Style #slackerstatus

(Dress & Belt: Dillards, Cardigan: Old Navy, Shoes: Maurices)

Can we talk about how my President's Day weekend was SO BORING. In fact, it was so boring that I totally spaced that I had to work on Saturday because I was in the middle of watching Baby Mama (Fav line: B****, you don't know my life!). Luckily, my awesome co-worker called me and I still got to work on time. HOLLA!

But can we talk about this dress? Like, it's my favorite ever! So comfy, I tell ya! And my mom picked it out, so double win.
I'm such a goof. In case you were wondering...

My Skirt Is Too Tight, But I Wear It Anyway

(Shirt: Old Navy, Vest: Gifted, Skirt: Gifted, Watch: Gifted, Boots: Payless, Tights: Target)

So as you might have noticed, almost my entire outfit was gifted. I guess I can't help that the people in my life have really good taste.
Also, this is an outfit post. BIG DEAL.

If you're gonna wear a leather vest, spy mode is required.

Because this is how I would want to be asked out in grade school...

MY FASHION IS BACK IN ACTION

Remember how my blog was supposed to be a fashion blog?
Hence the whole "fashion crime" stuff.
But alas, my partner in crime Brooklyn found the love of her life and moved to Salt Lake and can't be my outfit pictures partner. Saddest day of my life.

Good thing Madeline stepped up to the plate! She's a keeper that one. Go read her love story because it's totally hilarious and has something to do with an elephant.

AND HERE IT IS! ME IN CUTE CLOTHES!! WHO KNEW!

Skirt: Eshakti, Shoes: Payless, Cardigan: Old Navy, Undershirts: Seagull Book, Watch: Gift, Necklace: Vintage Wanna Bee

 (Awww. So awkward. :) haha)
(Madeline and I were making fun of this classic fashion blogger pose....)

It's Summertime, Baby!

(Skirt: ModestPop, Shoes: Payless, Shirt: Maurices, Cardigan: Forever 21, Watch: Gift)

Now that it's summertime, I FINALLY have to time to blog and take outfit photos!
This park is a block away from my apartment and it is just the CUTEST!!
All the trees and shade and cute flowers.
Gosh. I die.

The other day some friends & I decided to tie some rope to the end of a bike and roller blade behind the bike in this park.
Let me tell ya, I was scared out of my mind.
The roller blades didn't fit my feet and I would get going really fast and almost face plant it.
But it was the funnest thing I have ever done!!
I'm ready for some more summer adventures!!

Head Scarves are THE BOMB!

When I first got this bad boy from Tania's Etsy shop EcoShag, I was a little frightened.
Mostly because I was jumping outside of my comfort zone and trying a HEAD SCARF.
Guys, I'm from Idaho. Idahoans don't wear head scarves...but I digress...
I looked and looked and looked for a good tutorial, but didn't really find one.

So alas, I came up with my own.
Is the bow too much?
Oh well. I think it's dashing.

Go check out Tania's shop! She has the most adorable scarves EVER!
And not just head scarves! Infinity scarves too!

Belated Sunday Style...Oops?

Guys. I fail at blogging. I was totally going to post this on Sunday and link-up to Jenny's Sunday Style, but I failed so miserably.
Finals week, school, work, and moving out has all started to catch up to me.
But at least I find time to buy cute dresses and take outfit photos!

Makeup credit goes to my sensational roommate, Naomi. She's a keeper.
