"It's a psychological fact that everyone's favorite word is their own name...Luckily, I've been given the gift of a crazy good memory. I always remember names and faces, but out of fear of looking crazy, I hardly use people's names if I'm unsure if they know mine."
I'm the exact same way!! I don't want to appear creepy to people by remembering their names after our first meeting. So I always avoid that imaginary "creepiness" by pretending to forget their name.
I wonder what would happen if I didn't do that.
Instead of pretending, just say it!
I secretly hate when people can't seem to remember my name. The first couple times is forgivable, sure, but after about the third meeting if they don't remember my name, I get annoyed.
SOO why would I ever cause other people this annoyance?!
Personally, I LOVE it when someone remembers my name!
It makes me feel appreciated, remembered, and worthwhile.
