I Don't Really Like Action Movies

It's the truth. I don't really like action movies, especially if they're violent or require people to die. Death is not my thing. Mostly, I don't like action movies because they scare me. I take them too realistically. One of my roommates the other day was watching War of the Worlds and I was watching it with her. It got to a point in the movie where Tom Cruise and his children were running away from the big monster thingy and they ended up at a house that wasn't destroyed yet. They went into the basement and slept there. When they got up in the morning, EVERYTHING was destroyed except for the little basement they were sleeping in. WHAT?!?!?  I would be terrified if that happened to me! I probably wouldn't be able to stop crying and all I would be thinking about is the fact that I was going to die. And it wouldn't be a peaceful death either, I would probably be staring the big monster thingy in the face and he would pierce some metal spear through my thumping heart. BUT  I DO like Lord of the Rings! One of the most violent movies, ever, but I don't know. It's just so cool.

(In honor of finals week...) Maybe it has to do with the fact that Orlando Bloom makes a super fine Legolas or that Aragon is the greatest warrior ever or that Sam is the most loyal best friend of all best friends to ever live, but alas Lord of the Rings is my favorite. Now that, that's out of the way, who wants to go watch a chick flick? :)
