Not because I was sad, but because I was overwhelmed. I felt like I was the only student who was going through a tough semester and I felt like no one knew how I was feeling.
But as I talk to people and really understand what their lives are like, I realize that they are just like me.
Other people do have bad days where they feel inadequate and overwhelmed.
Other people have horrid professors and tight deadlines.
Other people have things on their to-do list that don't get done.
Other people get chapped lips and bloody noses at the most inconvenient times.
IT HAPPENS. Because you know what? LIFE HAPPENS.
The more I think about the things that I'm going through compared to the things other people are going through, I can't even begin to realize how stressed they are.
Could you imagine if I was an actual adult with a mortgage payment, buying $300 worth of groceries every two weeks?
Let's just say....I'm SOO glad I'm not an adult yet. This semester is only the beginning of a mountain of crazy semesters and you know what? Once I start counting my blessings, I wouldn't have it any other way!
You are so awesome! I always forget other people have problems too, as if the world revolves around me. haha. Hope your semester is going well! And trust me, we are pretty close to $300 in groceries every 2 weeks... it's cray.
ReplyDelete:) Yes! This is exactly my reasoning behind why I love my own life so much and don't feel jealous. My life is definitely not perfect, but I know for a fact that no one else's is either, and I'd rather live with my own problems than someone else's!
